We don’t give fish. We teach how to fish. We empower.

Who we are

Lighthouse of Hope is the social outreach arm of GIF English Center.
We believe English can change destinies, but love heals hearts.

For over a decade, we have taught English free of charge to people who could never afford an academy.
Today, many of them are bilingual, with new job opportunities and transformed lives.

What we do

We serve our community in two main ways:

🌱 Educational Empowerment

Transformation that lasts forever

Over Q250,000 in scholarships, sustained solely by God’s provision.
Free English classes during times of crisis.
English programs in prisons, vulnerable communities, and at-risk youth.
Loan of graduation gowns and equipment to nonprofit organizations so students’ achievements can be honored with dignity.

🤝 Direct Humanitarian Aid
Love in action when need knocks at the door

Food and support for people experiencing homelessness in partnership with La Iglesia de la Calle – Sigo Vivo.
Food and activities for orphans and vulnerable children.
Food support during funerals for grieving families.
Medicine, groceries, and financial support for families in extreme need.
Counseling, prayer, and accompaniment during deep emotional crises.

What we do today

Each month, we allocate a social outreach budget to meet real and urgent needs:
Families without food, children in need of medicine, widows requiring support, individuals in emotional crisis, and any need God places in our path.

We serve with flexibility, sensitivity, and love, because needs change, but our calling to serve remains.

Extraordinary actions that remind us God opens doors

Donation of 117 desks to a village in Cobán where children had never had one.
Community cooking outreaches for orphanages and vulnerable communities.
Prison outreach programs teaching English and bringing hope.

Our Philosophy

✨ “Be a light to everyone you meet.”

Sometimes that light is English.
Other times it is a meal, a hug, a prayer, a word of encouragement, medicine, or simply listening.

But it is always love in action.
